I hope all had a wonderful holidays. As you are all aware, we have our annual meeting coming up on February 23, 2008 in Reno. We are also going to have a hands-on workshop for spinal fusion and orthopedic trauma cases. These will be given by lecture from local physicians and then bone models from local reps.
Please register by sending a message to the "contact us" list. This will be emailed to myself. This is being approved for CEU's.
The annual meeeting is also being held at the same time. This meeting we will be electing officers and delegates to the National Conference. We currently are looking for interested people to run for office. The people have to fill out certain paperwork. Please call me or email me for this information.

Draft Minutes of NVSA Board of Directors Meeting
November 3, 2007
1. Meeting called to order by Duane Sorenson, 0910
2. Roll Call
Duane Sorenson, Kay Keehnen, Bruce Gruenewald
3. Presidents Report.
The ARC is undergoing a restructuring. Duane received notice of the 3ed. Quarter deposit.
Duane received a list of Members from National but “can’t make it workable, it prints out in lines not in boxes”.
4. Treasurers Report
We have not received a statement reflecting a deposit as of today. Our balance remains as reported
September 22, 2007. Balance of $4,707.18 along with $40.00 cash and a $10.00 gift card.
5. Approval of Minutes September 22, 2007
Motion by Duane to accept as written, Second by Kay Keehnen, motion passed.
6. Old Business
A. Legislative update Tabled, awaiting J. Brophy
B. February Workshop
Duane reported we are “GO” for 2-23-08 with the med. School. They will send us a conformation letter. He reports we are set with reps to do a hands on workshop in A/O Ortho Tibial Roding and external fixation. And sofemore dannic spinal instrumentation. He has Joe_______? PA-C to speak on spaniel anatomy.
Bruce will ask Dr. O’Mara and Dr. Zebrack to do the A/O presentations and help as table instructors.
Duane will check with reps for the numbers that they can support for this workshop.
The workshop will only be presented in Reno. It is Free to Active Nevada State AST members!
All other will be $25.00. We will be presenting 5 ce’s and you must pre-register.
We will check into registration on line.
C. News Letter
Kay to put together news letter. BOD will communicate with Kay to have newsletter done and ready to address, stamp and mail for the December 1, 2007 meeting.
Duane to get labels from national by the same time.
7. New Business:
A. The State is agine without a secretary with the resignation of Denneise Schmidt.
Duane received her letter resonantly. The Bod regrets the loss.
Kay Keehnen will fill the job of Sec until the meeting and elections in February.
B. The State will not be sponsoring a speaker to national for 2008 but will be happy to be very active for the 2009 conference in Las Vegas. We will start dialog after the February meeting.
C. Bruce and Kay will do more checking on state and IRS paperwork.
